For Windows users, selected problems include a video clip, providing additional instruction and helping students to visualize concepts. InterAct MathXL : www.mathxl.com: InterAct Math XL is a Web-based, diagnostic testing an tutorial system that helps students prepare for tests by allowing them to take practice tests and receive a personalized study plan based on their results. Practice tests are correlated directly to the section objectives in the text. Once a student has taken an on-line practice test, the software scores the test and generates a study plan that identifies strengths, pinpoints topics where more review is needed, and links directly to the appropriate section(s) of the InterAct Math Ž tutorial software for additional practice and review. Real to Reel Videotape Series: This series has been developed to accompany Prealgebra and Introductory Algebra. In a separate lesson for each section of the book, the series covers all objectives, topics, and problem solving techniques discussed within the text. Presenters indicate to students to stop tape at certain segments and work specific problems on their own. Application problems are worked from the text. MathPass, Version 2.2 for Windows: MathPass helps student succeed in their developmental mathematics courses by creating customized study plans based on diagnostic test results from ACT, Inc.'s Computer-Adaptive Placement Assessment and Support System (COMPASS Ž).
